What's that sound?

It's not the sound of gas flowing around if you have a blockage in your system!

Blockages are not a common fault with refrigeration, but they still happen. Just like on your car, refrigeration systems have filters to keep things clean.

"Driers" as they are known as are a dual action filter that keeps the gas in the fridge system free of moisture and also clean of any debris and particles floating around. Over the life of the fridge these driers can start to block up and restrict the flow of refrigerant around the system. If the driers become too blocked it can dramatically reduce the efficiency of the fridge and also cause damage to other parts of the system.
